Celebrating Founding Member Omar Hindiyeh!

At this year’s 11th Annual Founders Golf Tournament (our last Founders Tournament), we will honor Founding Member Omar Hindiyeh.
I have had a personally rewarding career of working with diverse clients, experts and law firms in all stages of building construction to defect claims. I still remember the day that Clay McCulloch asked me to join "Westcon", to help gather and share information of the "wild west" of forensic construction defect investigations that we lived in.

Before graduating from SJSU in 1978 with a degree in Civil Engineering, I had extensive hands-on experience in construction working with my father. This gave me in-sight to both worlds of knowledge.

I remember thinking at the time how different they were and how oversight, coordination and management was key and was lacking ensure a successful finished product/project. Eventually that lead me to found "CMA Consulting" (Construction Management Associates), a building construction consulting firm. During its tenure to date I have employed over 160 personnel in five (5) offices throughout California and Nevada.

What I enjoyed most about my work was:
Creating various consulting products and services to homeowners associations to help manage their communities construction and maintenance needs. Developing cost effective procedures to test various building systems performance. Teaching and training for SJSU, UNLV and AAMA on proper construction installation techniques and forensic procedures. Lead expert on over 500 construction defect cases with some of the largest settlements/awards with over 1400 days of depositions. Managing the reconstruction of over 900 major projects with clients from David Packard of HP, Palace of Fine Arts, HOA Developments s large as 2600 homes to custom single family home residences, and pro-bono work for the San Jose Historical Museum Society.

Active member of ASTM and AAMA.
