UPCOMING SPEAKERS

Speakers for June and July will discuss "Standard of Care". The June speaker is Joshua Kardon, Structural Engineer and member of Westcon. The subject is prominent in the thinking of Mr Kardon as evident from the paper he presented to Case Western University. The text is available on the Worldwide Web and will be the basis of his presentation and our discussion for the June meeting. Those interested in doing their "homework" before the meeting can find the published paper at http://ethics.cwru.deu/cases/kardon.html.

The July speaker will be Eugene Bass, an attorney with engineering background and also a Westcon member. Mr. Bass will delve into the problems and considerations faced by the professional who is innovative, creative and willing to present "untried" materials in his design and specifications.

The Standard of Care subject is a viable one for all of us and we surely shall have questions to bring to both of these meetings. Why not jot down that question that just came to mind right now before you forget? And remember to circle the June 16th and July 21st meeting dates in your calendar.

A reminder É August is vacation month! There is no meeting and no Tribune scheduled.
