WestCon Tribune

March 2007

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I would like to welcome the fourteen new members (listed on the next page) which the Board has approved. This new group of members adds depth and expertise to the already talented and highly regarded group of professionals that make up Westcon. Please join me in making these new members feel welcome and help them become involved in the organization.

As a reminder, the Board approved "Deck Waterproofing" as the topic of our 2007 Symposium. The projected date is for November 1, 2007 and fortunately, Past President Paul Goetz has stepped up as Program Chair to relieve Chris Nelson of this awesome responsibility. If you would like to participate, please contact Paul at goetz@noleak.com or (415) 884-2121.

Westcon has been approached by the Golden Gate Chapter of ASHI  (American Society of Home Inspectors) and EBCREIA (East Bay Chapter, California Real Estate Inspection Association) about sharing educational  meetings and functions. The Board is working on the possibilities of reciprocity and will report to you regarding the outcome.

We have had some great dinner meetings and presentations recently. The Board is always open to suggestions and assistance in finding interesting and informative topics which would benefit the group. If you have ideas, or know of available speakers, please pass on information to any Board member or Rikki.

Don't forget to vote for your new Board members and send in your ballot!

Jim Sappington, President
