Trial Presentation Strategies

Tools and Tips

for Courtroom Presentations

Westcon's June speaker will be Laura Stanford, a Partner and Senior Graphics Consultant at Think Twice, Inc.. Think Twice, Inc is a full service design and marketing communications firm headquartered in San Francisco that "marries strategically smart thinking with innovatively executed designs". Ms. Stanford is a member of the Legal Graphics Division, and specializes in complex commercial litigation. She has worked in the litigation field for more than 10 years, and has provided design consultation to Bay Area clients in over 100 cases.

June's program will focus on Trial Presentation Strategies. Ms. Stanford will discuss front-end presentation options, their benefits and drawbacks, including video presentation, animations, interactive design, model building, photography, illustration and static graphics. She will also cover in-court presentation technologies, including equipment (ELMOs and projectors vs. monitors) and software (PowerPoint vs. Trial Presentation Software) and conventional blow-up/easel displays.

There will be tips directed to testifying experts as well as trial attorneys. She will discuss presentation strategy in general terms as well to appeal to anyone interested in visually compelling presentations.

Think Twice, Inc. prepared the trial exhibits for the Lombard Plaza Case in which many members of Westcon participated in or are familiar with.

Other examples of some of the various design-types and presentation technologies will be demonstrated and there will be a question and answer period at the end of the presentation to address any interests and concerns.
